SUNMARKE COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION ADHOC ADVISORY COMMITTEE

RECAP FROM MEETING HELD ON OCTOBER 9, 2007

Meeting was held 6:15 PM October 9, 2007, at the Witzel home, 17807  Domingo Drive

Attendees: Alan Fletcher, Pat Witzel, Dan and Carol Qualman

SunMarke Board Reports:

SunMarke Correspondence

November 28, 2007 6 PM HOA annual meeting

            2008 emergency preparedness

Dead trees in landscape – 36 owners have problems

(Advisory council suggests that the HOA have the Town arborist to investigate the installation of the trees and then send letters to the builders if they were improperly installed.)

Public Input: None

Old Business: Alan and Pat had walked the park to determine sites for picnic tables’ installation and a possible horseshoe pit.  The Advisory committee is in favor of the pit but will get input at the next meeting.  Other ideas are welcome as well.

New Business:  Community updates – only the upcoming HOA meeting

Next Meeting: The next meeting will be November 13, at 6PM at 12808  Domingo Court; the Fletcher residence.  [Note this has been postponed to December 4 at 6 PM.]

SUNMARKE COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION ADHOC ADVISORY COMMITTEE

RECAP FROM MEETING HELD ON MARCH 14, 2007

Meeting was held 6:15 PM March 14, 2007, at the Marshment home, 17830 Domingo Drive

Attendees:

Alan Fletcher, Glenn and Marilyn Marshment, Ed Bennett, Dan and Carol Qualman

SunMarke Board Reports:

Request was for the committee to consider a community bulletin board at the mailboxes.  As a result of the discussion about the bulletin board it was decided that a glass covered lock board would look nice but maybe too much trouble to get items posted.  Alan will pursue with the HOA about suggestions and what they had in mind.  Perhaps at least one at the Rec. Center would be great.  The committee committed to watching for out-of-date items.

Public Input: Gathered by members:

1.      Unfinished town home structure is a real eyesore and hazard.  We need to find out why the Town has not enforced its regulations.

2.      Several concrete driveways and steps are beginning to deteriorate but Richmond will not take responsibility.  Perhaps the HOA can help?

3.      There were several questions about why the landscapers cut down and shredded good trees rather than offering for sale to residents?

4.      There was a question about what will happen to the unsold lots.  Will they sell them to other builders or reseed them.  Can they be sold to adjacent homeowners?

5.      A few items that are not maintained or enforced are:  during the snow the area around the mailboxes was not shoveled; and a resident on Ventana still has Christmas lights up and are still lighting them at night.  Perhaps the HOA can  get these resolved.

Old Business:

Movie in the park program was discussed.  The movie license is good until August.  Perhaps a date in late June or July would work.  Suggested to have a picnic in the Park.  It would be a good way for everyone to meet their neighbors.  We could provide the popcorn and sodas.  No cotton candy, hot dogs or nachos this time.

New Business:

No items for new business.

Next Meeting:

The next meeting will be April 10th at 6PM at 17947 Domingo Drive; the Qualman residence.

SUNMARKE COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION ADHOC ADVISORY COMMITTEE

RECAP FROM MEETING HELD ON OCTOBER 18, 2006

Meeting was held 6:00 PM October 18, 2006, at the Fletcher home, 12808 Domingo Court

Attendees:Alan Fletcher, Glenn Marshment, Pat Witzel, Tony Breglio, Dan and Carol Qualman

SunMarke Board Reports:There is nothing further to report on the Neighborhood Watch program.  Information will be put into the HOA letter to see if more interest can be generated.

HOA advised Alan that the doggie stations were installed where they thought we wanted them.  No strong concern about the locations.

Public Input: Gathered by members:

1.      Mailbox lighting at Callabra not working [Note: since the meeting the lights have been activated by advisory committee]

2.      Residents are interested in how the pool will be operated – fee for use or annual fee?

Old Business:  Movie in the park program was discussed.  Vendor sent money back minus cost of concessions used during the two attempts to have the movie night.  Committee plans to have another event next year, but volunteers will be needed for this and other activities.

New Business:  Has not been a great deal of resident input or desire to be involved.  Perhaps we can use the HOA letter for generating more involvement.

Discussion of budget items for 2007:

            Trash cans in the park

            Community events

The HOA budget meeting is scheduled for November 14th.

Next Meeting:

The next meeting will be the November 14th HOA meeting.  No meeting in December or January.  Meeting in February will be on the 7th at 6 PM at 17830 Domingo Drive.

SUNMARKE COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION ADHOC ADVISORY COMMITTEE

RECAP FROM MEETING HELD ON SEPTEMBER 26, 2006

http://www.neighborhoodlink.com/parker/sunmarke

SunMarke Board Reports:

Nothing further on the Neighborhood Watch program

Public Input: Gathered by members:

1.      We could use a brochure that gives the website address and some recruitment for the Advisory Committee members.

2.      The trail is now worse than ever since the latest rain.

3.      The lights at the Callabra and Ventana Streets mailboxes don’t work.

4.      Playground to be finished?

Old Business:

The committee discussed that we feel we are not getting accurate communications on the progress of the development and in order for our Committee to fulfill its mission we need to have follow through and good communications from the Community Association.

Pet stations have been installed by someone in the park.  No one was sure who but it was assumed that the Community Association has done so.  One was installed in the center of the grassy area and may be in the way of any play area,

Movie in the park program was discussed.  We can schedule next summer.  We have the license for one year for the same movie.   We will try to reschedule in June of 2007.  A suggestion was made to have more hot dogs and less chips.

New Business:

Glenn reported that Pat Witzel has requested to be replaced on the Committee.  We will need to recruit someone to take her place.

The HOA budget meeting should be coming up in November, but no on e has heard anything about it.

Next Meeting:

The next meeting is scheduled for October 18, 2006, at 6 PM at the Fletcher’s home at 12808 Domingo Court.  Anyone not able to attend may email comments to Dan Qualman at chief7dan@comcast.net.  If you know of anyone not on our email list please advise them to send their email address.

SUNMARKE COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION ADHOC ADVISORY COMMITTEE

RECAP FROM MEETING HELD ON AUGUST 16, 2006

Meeting was held 6:05 PM August 16, 2006, at the Parker Fire District Headquarters.

Introduction:

Alan gave an overview of the HOA Advisory Committee’s responsibility and functions.  He advised that there was no correspondence from Anthology, but that Anthology is replenishing the funds for food used on the movie night when we got rained out.

Public Input: A pathway is needed from the Banyon Drive to the mailboxes in that area.  During rains it is impossible to stop on the street and get to the mailbox without getting one’s feet dirty.

Old Business:

Mailbox Lighting:  There was consensus to recommend to PCMS that lighting be added to the other two mailbox locations.

Pet Stations:  Nothing further to report.

Community Watch program – Two police officers spoke about the Neighborhood Watch program.  Parker has mostly property crimes.  Neighborhood watch programs are effective in preventing these crimes and catching criminals in the act of burglary.  The program has a group of interested people on a block or area of the street with a block captain who keeps the people in his/her area about criminal happenings through email lists.  Parker PD would keep the captains current on what crimes were happening or to watch for wanted vehicles.  This only works if there are several persons in an area that are dedicated to keeping involved.  The key is for everyone to know their neighbors and watch out for any suspicious activities in the area.  They advised that if you think it is suspicious that it probably is and that we should call the PD on the non-emergency number 303 841-9800.

The committee thought it would be worthwhile to send out flyers and host a BBQ to discuss interest in starting a program.  Ed Bennett volunteered to serve as the Neighborhood Watch Coordinator.  The committee decided to initially try a program on Domingo Drive and one on Banyon Court to see how it goes; and then expand it as more folks express interest.  Officer Trevor Nevins is the PD contact for the program, tnevins@ci.parker.co.us

We need to get the website out so the community can get it bookmarked.  Thought was to post it by the mailboxes and to send out with the minutes.

New Business:

None

Meeting adjourned at 7:35 PM.

Next Meeting:

The next meeting is scheduled for September 26, 2006, 6 PM at the Qualman’s home at 17947 Domingo Drive.  Anyone not able to attend may email comments to Dan Qualman at chief7dan@comcast.net.  If you know of anyone not on our email list please advise them to send their address.

Community Watch program – Ed Bennett got in touch with Parker PD and they would be willing to come to a meeting and explain the Community Watch Program.  The August 16th meeting was proposed and we will advertise for more participation.  Dan Qualman will reserve a room at the Parker Fire Headquarters for a larger crowd.  Ed will contact PD to confirm they can attend.

Mailbox Lighting:  Lights have been installed to test the concept with positive comments from those who had observed them.

SunMarke Community Association

RECAP OF THE AD HOC COMMUNITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING HELD ON JUNE 14, 2006

SunMarke Board Reports: A letter to all residence has been received from PCMS with some community updates including a HOA meeting on June 29, at 6:30 p.m. at the Legacy Pointe Elementary School.

Public Input: Neighborhood Watch program – There is no new information on this program.

The committee has noted that mud on the trail behind Domingo Drive is still a problem.  Landscaping is an issue with lots of weeds along Motsenbocker and many trees that need replacing.

Old Business: Mailbox Lighting:  Should be installed by June 16th as testing program.

Summer community event:  Need to work with PCMS and determine if they would approve, current budget indicated $2500 for community events.  Alan will look at available dates for the “Movie in The Park” idea.  The concept was to have the community get together socially, perhaps with the opening of the new playground.  All ideas are welcome.

Web Posting:  Alan was able to get a web site up and running with community information.  http://www.neighborhoodlink.com/parker/sunmarke.  Let Alan know what you think.

SunMarke Clubhouse:  The committee would like to follow-up with the HOA on the terms of use of the clubhouse for SunMarke residents.  This question will probably come up at the June 29th meeting.

Pet Station:  Alan will follow up with PCMS to see if they will be install some around the park area as a test.  The intent was to put several around the open space areas if they proved useful.

New Business:  Alan will send the July agenda with our website information prior to the HOA meeting.  Glenn will make copies for residents.

Next Meeting:The next meeting is scheduled for July 11, 2006, 6 PM at the Pat Witzel’s 17807 Domingo Drive.  Anyone not able to attend may email comments to Dan Qualman at chief7dan@comcast.net.
